Description
The Leica Coverslipper model CV5000 is easy to operate and has high safety standards for both operator and specimens. It is a self-contained, automated instrument for glass coverslipping. Simple loading and unloading mechanisms provide easy access. The entire instrument can be operated by only three push-buttons. Slides are processed on an assembly line with precise and reproducible results. A wide range of resinous mountants are suitable and both volume and flow rate can be optimised easily. Coverslip laydown is accurate and bubble-free. A special sensor detects and removes any broken coverslips. The fume control system incorporates an activated carbon filter and can be connected to a fume exhaust system. Both in design and accessories the Leica CV5000 is compatible with the robotic slide stainer Leica Autostainer XL. Thus it may be used as a stand-alone unit or in combination with the Leica Autostainer XL as an integrated staining/coverslipping station. This instrument provides very precise bubble-free coverslipping, consistent coverslipping quality, high throughput for up to 400 slides per hour, convenient batch or single slide mode, flexible mountant type control for volume and flow rate, automatic detection for broken coverslips, special cytology adapter, full self diagnostic function, and efficient fume control system. Dimensions are 24"w x 27"d x 17". Net weight is 65 lbs. |
