Description
Proteus has been dedicated to designing and manufacturing the highest quality hyperbaric systems available for clinical use. Our philosophy is simple - where product reliability, safety, and quality are concerned, there can be no compromise.
In the past, hyperbaric treatment centers have utilized either large multiplace chambers that are cumbersome and expensive or one or more monoplace units. The large multiplace systems afford the safety of attendant access to the patient during treatment, normal oxygen levels in the pressurized chamber, and "hands-on" patient management capability. These features are particularly important for facilities conducting or planning research in hyperbaric medicine. Conventional monoplace units do not have these capabilities, but are mobile and relatively inexpensive.
Proteus III for the first time combines all of the "hands-on" patient management when indicated and inherent safety advantages of a multiplace chamber with the simplicity, mobility, and economy of a monoplace system.
Our patented door-closure design is a major technological advance in this type of equipment, permitting full opening capability in a dual chamber. Large view ports in the access doors, and an internal volume much larger than that of a monoplace designs, provide a high degree of patient comfort.
The two cabin unit allows for an attendant when needed due to it’s unique center locking door. At the same time when the center door is locked the unit allows for two occupants to be treated at the same, each in there own separate cabins.
Stainless steel construction affords a 6 ATA treatment capability, impact, heat, and corrosion resistance, and an easily maintained clinical appearance. Virtually unlimited electrical connections are provided for patient monitoring during research or clinical treatment.
