Description
Liko, Inc., a leading global supplier of patient lifts, disability lifts, and transfer solutions, has introduced a unique foldable patient lift for home care applications. The LikoLight Mobile Lift is designed to provide users an added dimension of mobility that is not available using conventional �floor lifts� commonly found in home care environments.
Most competitive home care lifts are restricted to the immediate environs of the patient�s primary living quarters. As a result, both home caregivers and home care patients can be limited in their ability to travel outside their immediate dwelling due to lifting constraints. The LikoLight mobile lift overcomes this restriction through its unique designed-in mobility features.
Two mobility options are available to users:
a) LikoLight disability lifts can be easily folded to fit through doorways and be placed into the luggage compartment of a minivan or full-size automobile. The total weight of the folded lift, including battery, is only 53 lbs.
b) LikoLight can also be quickly and easily disassembled into three separate pieces and carried in optional fitted transport bags. When disassembled, no individual part weighs more than 22 lbs.
Despite its compact size and light weight, LikoLight disability lift is ideal for all types of lifting situations commonly encountered in home care. For example, it can be used to lift between bed and wheelchair, to and from the toilet, or for lifting someone who has fallen to the floor. Raising and lowering are powered by gel-type batteries and a time-proven electric motor. Base width adjustments are manual, either foot or hand actuated. Major structural components are of high-grade aeronautical aluminum alloy. Total lifting capacity is 308 lbs.
