Description
Leitz Microtome model 1512. Includes Specimen Holder and Disposable Blade Holder. All controls are placed on the front of the microtome ensuring convenient operation during the setting of section thicknesses, the controlled sectioning of the object, and the rapid adjustment of the knife. For precise alignment of the specimen and the knife, the specimen clamp can be tilted through 10 degrees in any direction by means of two knurled screws. Knife moves horizontally towards the specimen, either automatically or manually. Knife can be rapidly adjusted by hand, over a range of 36um. Each unit is complete with specimen cassette clamp or universal block clamp. Dimensions are 10 1/2"w (handle not attached)x 15 1/2"d x 13"h, add 3" width if handle is attached. Weight is approximately 50 lbs.
