Description
Microm Cryostat model HM500 OM. This instrument has 3 motorized cutting modes for single, interval and continuous stroke. The cabinet temperature is adjustable to –40 degrees C. Includes an adjustable cutting window that allows feed settings to section between 0.5 and 60 microns. Features a fast-freeze station with peltier device, section counter, mechanical advance micron feed, motorized coarse feed, specimen retraction, and automatic defrost. The specimen object cooling is adjustable to -55 degrees C. No frost on the knife carrier due to a 24 hour defrost timer. The system has a battery backup for data protection.
