The Shandon Consul Automated Coverslipper cat# 74100102 is a high throughput automatic glass coverslipper. It provides the best optics for microscopes and image analysis systems. It minimizes xylene exposure with a built-in activated charcoal filter and it integrates with almost all stainers in the market. Permanently coverslips 400 slides per hour using permanent glass coverslips. Automates coverslipping and maintains long-term storage quality of specimens. The system reduces operator exposure to solvents. Eliminates repetitive motion which can lead to injury. Accepts coverslip sizes 22, 24 x 40, 50, 55, and 60mm. Accommodates slides from 0.8 to 1.2mm in thickness. Gives user 9-level control of mountant dispense volume. Optical sensors detect incorrect or multiple coverglass feed. Roll-on pressure pad assures smooth adhesion and can be adjusted for histology or cytology. Power requirments: 110V-120V, 50Hz-60Hz. Weight: 55kg.
