Description
Leica Reichert-Jung Cryocut 1800 is an ergonomically designed cryostat that can be used comfortably in both the standing and sitting position. The belt-driven handwheel is positioned toward the front of the cryostat ensuring the greatest user comfort. The heated sliding window gives unrestricted frost-free vision to the working area. A built-in illumination system brightly illuminates the working area. The finger-touch control panel is designed for easy operation with user prompts. A battery backup maintains important programmed functions such as set temperature and defrost time in the event of power failure. The Cryocut has both a programmable 24-hour and a manual defrost cycle which ensure rapid, efficient and frost-free operation. The cryocabinet reaches a maximum temperature of -35 degrees C. Dimensions are 677 mm with the handwheel, 70 mm w x 1101 mm h (in front) and 1170 mm h (in rear). Weight is 115kg. The 2020 stainless steel microtome section range is 1 - 60 micrometers, has a +/- 7 degree specimen orientation, 25 mm maximum specimen feed, vertical stroke length of 59 mm, and a quick release knife holder.
